We have grass!!

Here's just a few pics as promised. The grass is growing!! Our yard has come a long way and is still a work in progress...as is the house! We'll get there someday soon!
I'll leave with you a pic of Dillin. He's able to balance on all fours, but has no desire to go anywhere just yet. I think he'll be crawling before we know it!

Especially for Grandma Marilyn

Dave's mom, Marilyn, sent up a mini video recorder so that we could post videos of the kids as well as photos. She was very excited about it because it's so small that I can stuff it right in my purse and catch the boys doing what they do while we're out and about.

We received the camcorder this afternoon and here's my first video to share. It's nothing special...just Austin getting on the computer (Dillin was sleeping).

Fun at the Beach in Downtown Kirkland

We had beautiful weather yesterday and after a visit with Grandpa and Grandma Meyers (those pics coming soon!), we headed down to Kirkland for some dinner and beach time with Grandpa and Grandma Brockert. Mom and I frequent this location as we often meet for lunch at Kidd Valley and then head across the street to Lake Washington. It was a beautiful and warm evening. The water was surprisingly warm and Austin jumped right in, of course! Dillin still is unsure about the water unless it's bathtub temp. So, he hung out with Dad and Grandpa Ed on the bench while Mom and I paraded around with Austin.

Jam packed June!

It's only the first week of June and we have a lot to share! So get ready for an overload of photos!

The first bit I'd like to report is Dillin's stats from his 6 month wellness check up. This kid is off the charts at 20 pounds 9 ounces and 29 inches long! He's the size of your average 12 month old. No wonder because he's wearing 9-12 month clothes! If he keeps this up he's going to pass up Austin for sure!

This last week was full of fun stuff for the Meyers Boys and Me. Last weekend the boys went over to Lake Cushman with Grandma Susan and Grandpa Ed. Aunt Rachel, cousin Sydney and I met them over there Saturday afternoon. When I arrived Austin was running around in the kiddie pool in his birthday suit! It was a sight to see and not what I expected when I pulled up the driveway! ;)

While we were playing over at Lake Cushman, Daddy was hard at work back at home. He and some hired help were busy getting the property ready for grass. It's all flattened out and complete with a layer of topsoil. We were scheduled to have the hyrdoseed on Wednesday, but with this heat we've been having we've decided to wait a few days until it cools off. I'll post more pics of the property once the grass is here! We're so excited to have a nice, big yard for the boys to run around in. So, is Austin as he doesn't like falling down in the dirt and getting his hands dirty (remember the beach story). He likes to keep his hands clean.

To see the difference take a look at my previous post here: Yard Project Day 1.

Dillin and I got up before Austin to go take some pics of the yard. He's waiting patiently on the front step in his Bumbo!

As I mentioned this week has been a scorcher! So, we had to get a new pool for the boys to play in. Austin, being the water baby he is, couldn't wait to jump in. He had a fit when he had to wait for it to fill up and for mommy to lather him up in sunscreen. Dillin, on the other hand, wasn't so fond of the cold water and opted to watch from his Bumbo.

I'll leave you with a few pics of Austin. I've been letting him color with crayons, supervised of course, or else he might start eating crayons and coloring on walls. He's been really good so far and the colors stay where they're supposed to!

This weekend is supposed to be beautiful as well. Looks like our summer has started! So, in between mommy's photo shoots we're heading to Duvall Days for some small town fun. Be sure to check back for pics...
